Stress & Hair Loss Natural Cure

In today’s hectic world, many people are stressed about their jobs, their families, and just feeling in general like they have no time to perform the tasks that make them happy. There are just not enough hours in a day. This can lead to a host of health problems, unfortunately. Stress hair loss is but one of the many symptoms that can arise as a product of stress. While an exact reason for this hasn’t been pinpointed at this time, many scientific studies have shown the direct correlation. This is the same mechanism that makes a person’s hair turn white immediately after a fright.

If experiencing hair loss due to stress, you may want to sit down and evaluate what it is in your life that is the cause of this problematic stress. Perhaps you are unconsciously pulling out your own hair without even realizing it. Some common stressful events in a person’s life can include moving, starting or ending a job or relationship, or experiencing problems at home. Times of change and uncertainty affect us in a very tangible way. This affects overall health, not just hair loss. Identifying what in your life is stressing you out this way is the first step, in defeating these symptoms.

There are a number of relaxing activities that one can engage in to reduce stress-related hair loss. Taking the time out of your busy day, even for only 5 or 10 minutes here and then can be a really good way of calming yourself down and giving the freedom to regroup. Spending time alone is important for mental health, as is making a point of spending time with loved ones, including friends and family. Talking through whatever the issue is that is causing stress is a good idea.

Alternative therapies can be another way to reduce untimely loss of hair. Yoga, meditation, or tai chi can all provide a safe and therapeutic outlet to eliminate stress. Massage clinics and acupuncture are other techniques that people use safely and effectively to reduce the high stress levels of modern living. Seeing a therapist if the stress is really bad can be a fine idea, as they can help you get further insights into what the cause of the stress is. Just talking about what the cause is can oftentimes lead to the stress evaporating, and a professional is well equipped to help you find out what the problems are. This can put an end to troublesome hair loss.

In extreme cases of stress-related hair loss, a visit to the doctor may be necessary. The hair thinning and loss could be symptomatic of other, larger problems. If you are also experiencing common anxiety problems such as social phobia or insomnia, then prescription drugs can help calm you down if necessary. This will also put a stop to the severe hair loss that can affect a person’s confidence and social life. No one wants to hide behind a wig, and there is no need for such measures if the stress is attacked at the root of the problem.

Is There A Reliable, Affordable Cure For Baldness?

It seems as if the number of men and women experiencing baldness is on the rise. So it comes as no surprise that finding a cure for baldness is one of the primary goals of current research endeavors. While there are products that can slow and possibly reverse the balding process such as finasteride and minoxidil there is yet a cure for baldness.

The closest thing to a cure for baldness is hair transplant surgery. While expensive, sometimes painful, and often requiring multiple surgeries it can produce good results. That said, although transplanting hair can reduce thinning, and add cover to bald areas, it does not restore the original thickness or fullness of the hair. Another drawback is that if hair transplant surgery is performed before the balding process has stopped the result can be an unnatural unusual pattern on the scalp requiring multiple additional surgeries to correct. So while hair transplant surgery may be the closest thing to a cure for baldness it is not without its drawbacks.

So the question begs to be asked if hair transplant surgery isn’t recommended until balding and thinning has stopped what should I do in the meantime? This is certainly a quandary of sorts. It is like being lost in the no man’s land of hair restoration.

While you may not be able to cure baldness there are steps you can and should take to keep your hair and scalp healthy while possibly re-growing new hair. It is important to realize that the vast majority of cases of hair loss are follicle related. In other words the small sac like pouch from which the hair shaft emerges is either damaged or starts to shrink. The dreaded shrinking follicle cuts off circulation to the hair cell complex causing hair to thin, become unhealthy, reduce the hair growth cycle, and eventually fall out. At some point the follicle will shrink so dramatically that hair growth will no longer be possible without some type of intervention. At this point balding will start to become obvious and much more difficult to reverse.

The most often mentioned product as a cure for baldness and follicle regeneration is the hair stimulant minoxidil (Rogaine, Loniten). It is applied to the scalp twice daily to stimulate hair growth. When hair growth is achieved it is usually noticed about 90 days after the first application with the benefits continuing as long as the drug is used.

While minoxidil is not considered a cure for baldness it does do an excellent job in protecting existing hair from certain androgen hormones and keeping follicles open. In fact it’s success rate is thought to be somewhere in the 90 percent range. As far as new hair growth the numbers aren’t very impressive with only about 30 percent of men and women reporting hair re-growth.

What Next? There are currently a handful of hair re-growth products (specially formulated for both men and women) which have been proven effective both in blocking harmful hormones and bringing the all important dead hair follicles back to life. These specially formulated products can be used both as a preventative tool, starting before hair loss becomes severe, or after loss of hair has become noticeable. Whatever the level of balding or thinning you are experiencing these products could be just what is needed to overcome this latest life challenge.

A Smart Herbal Cure For Baldness That’s Proven To Work Revealed

It’s a good idea to look away from the mainstream chemically filled products and to the more natural ones that work with your body and can be extremely effective. Here is what a smart herbal cure for baldness should contain and how it works.

Herbal cures have been used for thousands of years by the Native Americans to help with a wide range of issues, including hair loss.

To know what to look for in a smart herbal cure for baldness, it’s good to know why a certain blend of nutrients can be so effective. The main reason is because of a hormone called DHT that is the main cause of female and male pattern baldness today.

It is a by-product of testosterone and affects women as much as men, contrary to popular belief, especially after the menopause when DHT levels rise due to the lack of estrogen.

What DHT does is stifle the follicles gradually over time until; the hairs become much thinner and weaker, and eventually fall out. No new growth can then occur from the affected follicles without treatment.

It is usual to lose about 100 – 200 hairs a day but it’s when they’re not being replaced that the problems start and you can see the beginnings of  bald patches. The sooner you start any proven treatment the better to increase your chances of success.

Some of the best herb extracts are Saw Palmetto, Nettle Root, Muira Puama, Pumpkin and Horsetail.

Saw Palmetto comes from slow growing dwarf palms and the extract comes from their blue-black berries harvested in the autumn months and it blocks DHT very effectively.

It has been proven to help reduce an enlarged prostate in men as well as growing new hair, so it’s especially great for men, and Native Americans also used it to treat persistent coughs and help with digestion too.

It is also advised to have a strong nutritional foundation so you can not only support new hair growth, but help to keep your existing ones healthy and vitamin B6, biotin, magnesium and zinc will all help this.

Lastly the key is to be as patient as possible and be prepared for even the best smart herbal cure for baldness to take up to 6 months to begin working, but it’s well worth the wait!

If you look for these ingredients you can confidently select the most effective and smart herbal cure for baldness and see the gradual and natural return of your hair month after month and know that you are also improving your overall health and well-being too.

What Causes Women’s Hair Loss And Is There A Cure?

Women’s hair loss is unlike those experienced by men because the reason for men’s hair loss that may lead to baldness is caused by the sex hormones, androgens, which women don’t produce as much. In this aspect, women are lucky. But this doesn’t mean that women don’t experience hair loss. The causes of women’s hair loss are mostly external unlike men and in most cases are temporary in nature. Below is a list of what causes women’s hair loss.

Causes of women’s hair loss #1 : Hormonal

The body produces hormones that can both stimulate hair growth as well as cause hair loss. The hormones that cause hair loss is the androgen DHT or Dihydrotesterone. Everyone has DHT but not everyone will suffer from hair problem. The reason lies in the hair follicles. If the hair follicles have a greater number of androgen receptors attached to them, then the likelihood of hair loss is higher. The only treatment to counteract this is using anti-androgens which are preventive drugs that inhibit the creation of DHT.

Causes of women’s hair loss #2 : Childbirth

Many women experience hair loss after childbirth. In this instant, many of the hair enter the telogen or resting phase. However, this is a temporary problem that will pass within 1 to 6 months.

Causes of women’s hair loss #3 : Birth control pills

Women who are born with Androgenic Alopecia usually experience hair loss when they take birth control pills at a much younger age. Women with a family history of hair loss are well advised to consult a doctor before taking birth control pills that may trigger hair loss. However, this type of hair loss is also temporary and may cease in 1 to 6 months.

Causes of women’s hair loss #4 : Deficient diet

Everyone should practise eating a good balanced diet with enough protein to encourage growth. Lacking in protein may cause the body to preserve the protein that’s already in the body and push hair growth into a resting phase and even cause hair to fall. If your hair can be pulled easily out by the root, then this may be due to a lack of a well-balanced diet. Eating a well-balanced diet rich in protein will solve this problem of hair loss immediately.

Causes of women’s hair loss #5 : Low serum iron

Low iron in the body can cause hair loss. And in women, the loss of blood during menstruation can lead to a low serum iron and thus cause hair loss. This situation can be easily remedied by taking a diet rich in iron and supplementing with iron pills.

Most of the causes of women’s hair loss mentioned above are temporary but there are instances that the hair loss can be permanent. So consulting a qualified doctor for such instances is the best thing to do.
