Female hair loss affects millions in the United States. Is a common problem, and yes, it affects both women and men. In fact, it was found that hair loss in women is more widespread than previously thought, with more than 25 million Americans suffer from symptoms and effects on hair loss and causes of stress. While hair loss in men can be traumatic because it is a machismo trait, it may be even more problematic for women, in that society places great importance on the role of beauty.

While female hair loss may be hereditary, there are other causes of hair loss in women. Some of the things that affect hair loss are hormonal balance, such as pregnancy or birth of a child. These can have an impact on women loss hair. May drugs also play a role in the problem of hair loss. The effects can range from fragile hair, or complete hair loss. Female pattern baldness is also a symptom that affects women, but not as often as men. One of the other women’s influence on hair loss is the level of estrogen.

The first stage of hair loss in women restoration comes from the noting of what is the cause of the hair loss. If hair loss is caused by life events, such as stress, or birth of a child, usually a simple thing like time can make a difference in how women deals with hair loss. When the event dissipates, hair returns. All that is usually needed to take care of a situation like this is time. Allow the event to become part of the past, and usually you will see the hair return. Be careful to help minimize re association of the trauma.

Another option for women hair restoration includes mediation like finasteride, a tablet that works by blocking the circulation of androgen. Another option is Rogaine for women, or minoxidil. These kinds of medications should always be discussed with your physician to make sure they will not cause any complications with your current health situation.

Although there are always new items coming on the market, it is important to discuss all options with your doctor. They are better versed in your overall health and may contribute to access where there are problems, and help find the best solution for your hair loss. Researchers and doctors are in constant search of new opportunities and possibilities are still available on the horizon. Keep abreast of the situation, and you will know when new products and techniques become available on women hair restoration.

Check this out! The causes of hair loss for women are as assorted as they are depressing. But as I am a huge believer in obtaining a definitive understanding of the obstacle in order to handle it most capably, I’ve been able to condense this seemingly endless supply of causes into 3 fundamental groups. I hope this helps!

Causes Of Hair Loss For Women – The Top Three:

Genetic Predisposition. This is widely known as androgenetic alopecia, or female pattern baldness. This occurs as a result of enzymes within your body meeting with surplus testosterone (it’s true, females have it, too!) and turning it into the frightening hormone referred to as dihydrotestosterone, or DHT. DHT is the #1 cause of ALL hair loss for both guys and gals. This evil hormone fastens onto your hair follicles, rendering them unable to take in nourishment from your blood stream. Because of this, your hair gets thinner… and thinner… and thinner, until it ultimately dies and dematerializes altogether. Basically, DHT suffocates your hair follicles to death!
Hormonal Imbalance. This is somewhat standard in ladies who are carrying a child, have just had a baby, or have just endured menopause. Hormonal imbalance can also occur in both males and females who have suffered through any kind of disturbance (physical or emotional), surgery, or who suffer from any kind of thyroid dysfunction.
Nutritional Deficiencies. The big suspects here are protein, iron, b vitamins, magnesium, and zinc. There is a point-blank connection between satisfactory supplies of these substances and the wellness of your hair. Again, thyroid problems may be at fault here, but more feasible is that healthy dietary choices are not being carried out. Look into the science of pH balance, i.e. alkaline vs. acid in your blood. This principle by itself can pave the way for flawless growth of your entire body, hair included.

And those are the top three causes of hair loss for women.

All in all, the predicament of female hair loss doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon. In fact, the reverse is true. It’s increasing, and the numbers are nothing shy of astonishing.

As many as 1 in every 3 ladies experience some form of hair loss. This ratio leaps to 1 in 2 for females over 40… yes, half! And by the time a woman reaches the age of 65, she is likely to be one of the 75% who are going bald. This is absolutely astounding!

But Pay Very Close Attention:

You can stop the embarrassment, humiliation, and anxiety of your thinning hair dead in its tracks if you take action now!

Breaking news! The causes of women’s hair loss are as mixed as they are depressing. But as I am a firm believer in obtaining a clear recognition of the challenge in order to handle it most capably, I’ve been able to boil down this oversized list of causes into three main groups. I hope this helps you!

Causes Of Women’s Hair Loss – The Wicked Three:

The leader of ALL causes of women’s hair loss is genetic predisposition. This is widely known as androgenetic alopecia, or female pattern baldness. This happens as a result of this of enzymes within your body coming in contact with extra testosterone (yes, females have it, too!) and reconstructing it into the frightening hormone named dihydrotestosterone, or DHT. DHT is the lead cause of ALL hair loss for both guys and gals. This atrocious hormone fastens onto your hair follicles, making them inept to draw nutrients from your bloodstream. Resultantly, your hair gets thinner… and thinner… and thinner, until it ultimately dies and dematerializes altogether. Esentially, DHT suffocates your hair follicles to death!
Hormonal Imbalance. This is rather frequent in ladies who are pregnant, have just become a new mother, or have just experienced menopause. Hormonal imbalance can also occur in both gentlemen and ladies who have experienced any kind of trauma (physical or emotional), surgery, or who suffer from any kind of thyroid dysfunction.
Nutritional Deficiencies. The number one offenders here are protein, iron, vitamin-b, magnesium, and zinc. There is a direct connection between adequate supplies of these vitamins & minerals and the wellness of your hair. Again, thyroid problems may be blameworthy here, but more likely is that healthy lifestyle choices are not being implemented. Look into the study of pH balance, i.e. alkalinity vs. acidity in your blood supply. This principle by itself can pave the way for ideal vitality of your entire body, hair included.

These are the leading causes of women’s hair loss.

All in all, the obstacle of females’ hair loss doesn’t seem to be dissipating any time soon. In fact, the opposite is true. It’s getting worse, and the numbers are nothing short of chilling.

As many as 1 in every 3 women experience some form of hair loss. This ratio leaps to 1 in 2 for ladies over 40… yes, half! And by the time a woman reaches the age of 65, she is conceivable to be one of the 75% who are going bald. This is absolutely mind-blowing!

But Pay Very Close Attention:

Baldness typically refers to excessive hair loss from your scalp and can be the result of heredity, certain medications or an underlying medical condition. Anyone â?? men, women and children â?? can experience hair loss. But normally baldness predominant in middle aged men.

Some people does not cares about their baldness but some are always try to hide their bald heads. And still others choose one of the medications and surgical procedures that are available to treat hair loss

Your hair goes through a cycle of growth and rest. The course of each cycle varies by individual. But in general, the growth phase of scalp hair, known as anagen, typically lasts two to three years. During this time, your hair grows about 1 centimeter (just less than 1/2 inch) a month. The resting phase is called telogen. This phase typically lasts three to four months. At the end of the resting phase, the hair strand falls out and a new one begins to grow in its place. Once a hair is shed, the growth stage begins again.

Causes of specific types of hair loss

In male- and female-pattern baldness, the time of growth shortens, and the hairs are not as thick or sturdy. With each growth cycle, the hairs become rooted more superficially and more easily fall out. Heredity likely plays a key role.

Cicatricial alopecia: This type of permanent hair loss occurs when inflammation damages and scars the hair follicle. This prevents new hair from growing. This condition can be seen in several skin conditions, including lupus erythematosus or lichen planus.

Alopecia areata: This is classified as an autoimmune disease, but the cause is unknown. People who develop alopecia areata are generally in good health. A few people may have other autoimmune disorders including thyroid disease. Some scientists believe that some people are genetically predisposed to develop alopecia areata and that a trigger, such as a virus or something else in the environment, sets off the condition. With alopecia areata, your hair generally grows back, but you may lose and regrow your hair a number of times.

Telogen effluvium: This type of hair loss is usually due to a change in your normal hair cycle. It may occur when some type of shock to your system â?? emotional or physical â?? causes hair roots to be pushed prematurely into the resting state. The affected growing hairs from these hair roots fall out. In a month or two, the hair follicles become active again and new hair starts to grow. Telogen effluvium may follow emotional distress, such as a death in the family, or after a physiological stress, such as a high fever, sudden or excessive weight loss and many more similar conditions.

Other causes of hair loss

Many other causes are also responsible for hair loss.

Poor nutrition: Having inadequate protein or iron in your diet or poor nourishment in other ways can cause you to experience hair loss. Fad diets, crash diets and certain illnesses, such as eating disorders, can cause poor nutrition.

Medications: Certain drugs used to treat gout, arthritis, depression, heart problems and high blood pressure may cause hair loss in some people. Taking birth control pills also may result in hair loss for some women.

Medical treatments: Undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy may cause you to develop alopecia. Under these conditions, healthy, growing (anagen) hairs can be affected. After your treatment ends, your hair typically begins to regrow.

Hormonal changes: Hormonal changes and imbalances can cause temporary hair loss. This could be due to pregnancy, having a baby, discontinuing birth control pills, beginning menopause, or an overactive or underactive thyroid gland.

There are many other causes includes some diseases like diabetes or lupus. Hair treatment, scalp infection and hair pulling disorder also may cause hair loss.

Male pattern baldness is the most common cause of hair loss in men and surprisingly one of the most common seen in women. Itâ??s impact is seen in as many as nine out of ten men and one out of every four women who experience permanent progressive balding.

The male pattern baldness gene can be acquired from either side of the family tree and noticeable hair loss can begin as early as the teenage years. While teen balding is possible it is not considered to be the norm. For women carrying the male pattern baldness gene onset is generally experienced much later in life but once again exceptions do apply.

For men carrying the male pattern baldness gene the progression of the condition is unmistakable with hair loss beginning at the forehead or on the top of the head toward the back. Some men are lucky and only have experience the standard and expected receding hair line along with a small bald spot on the crown. The balding occurs in an M shaped pattern.

Others, especially those who started to notice hair loss early in life will likely lose all of the hair on top of the head but retain hair on the sides and back.  While some will discount the importance of hair that is spared from the ravages of male and female pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) others will recognize its importance, especially if hair transplant surgery is to be attempted sometime in the future.

For women carrying the male pattern baldness gene the pattern is not quite so distinguishable. The most common type is recognized as a general and balanced thinning with the hair line staying intact. Another less often seen pattern follows that of their male counterparts where severe thinning is seen on the top of the head with hair remaining intact on the sides. The number one rule for women who suspect they may have the male pattern baldness gene it to consult your doctor to rule out other possible causes such as menopause or medical causes such as polycystic ovary syndrome.

For both men and women carrying the male pattern baldness gene, whose hair loss is severe, surgical procedures are available and can produce excellent results under the right set of circumstances. In these procedures hair is transplanted from the back of the head to the thinning frontal areas. Hair transplant surgery is expensive often running well over $10,000. Insurance doesnâ??t cover these procedures making them a large out of pocket expense.

For many the cost simply puts surgical procedures out of their grasp. The good news is there are a number of low cost oral and topical treatments that work well, especially in cases where those with the male pattern baldness gene have recognized the magnitude of their dilemma early, before severe follicle damage has occurred.

Tell me more! There are currently a handful of hair re-growth products (specially formulated for both men and women) which have been proven effective both in blocking harmful hormones and bringing the all important dead hair follicles back to life. These specially formulated treatments can be used both as a preventative tool, starting before hair loss becomes severe, or after loss of hair has become noticeable. Whatever the level of balding or thinning you are experiencing these products could be just what is needed to overcome this latest life challenge.

Did you know that the average person has 5 million hairs? Hair grows all over your body except on your lips, palms and the soles of your feet. It takes about four months for healthy hair to grow an inch. Most hairs grow for up to six years and then fall out. New hairs grow in their place.

Men – and some women – lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are a low protein diet, a family history or poor nutrition.

The term “common baldness” usually means male-pattern baldness, or permanent-pattern baldness. Male-pattern baldness is the most common cause of hair loss in men. Men who have this type of hair loss usually have inherited the trait. Men who start losing their hair at an early age tend to develop more extensive baldness. In male-pattern baldness, hair loss typically results in a receding hair line and baldness on the top of the head.

Women may develop female-pattern baldness. In this form of hair loss, the hair can become thin over the entire scalp.

Some people prefer to let their hairloss/baldness run its course untreated and unhidden. Others may cover it up with hairstyles, makeup, hats or scarves. And still others choose one of the medications and surgical procedures that are available to treat baldness.

Before pursuing any of these treatment options, you may want to try out natural solution on how to stop your hair loss now.

For many the idea of male pattern baldness in women (androgenetic alopecia, female pattern baldness, pattern baldness) is an obscure subject that only hair loss specialist talk about in the clinic break room over coffee and donuts. That is until male pattern baldness in women becomes a part of their lives.

Often times the condition is not recognized, and attributed to poor hair care or dieting, which a few simple lifestyle adjustment will correct. But what happens when despite ones best efforts the balding process continues? This is a question that over 20 million American women and countless numbers worldwide are asking right now.

In this article we will delve into the cause of male pattern baldness in women and provide you with a few suggestions as how to deal with this troubling condition.

Male pattern baldness in women can present itself in a couple of different ways. First, if you start to notice hair thinning by the back and front of the scalp, it suggests that you have pattern baldness. Secondarily, if you begin to notice a general thinning of scalp hair that seems to be occurring for no particular reason chances are pretty good that you are in the beginning to mid stages of female pattern balding.

The actual cause of male pattern baldness is an accumulation of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) deep within the hair follicle. This doesn’t happen overnight, in fact it is not unusually noticed until the DHT accumulation process has been underway for two hair cycles encompassing 5 to 10 years. As dihydrotestosterone  builds up it causes the pouch like sac called the follicle to shrink, which in turn alters the natural resting and growth phases of hair. Some follicles will shrink to a point where they die while others are rendered incapable of sustaining new hair growth. The end result is progressive male pattern baldness in women.

Most experts suggest that confirming the presence of male pattern baldness while ruling out other possible causes is an important next step because of the plethora of possible causes and/or contributing factors.

Now that we know that male pattern baldness is the culprit our next step is to find the best way to treat the condition.

Currently the only FDA approved drug suitable for safe use by women is topical minoxidil. Minoxidil must be applied twice a day. Studies suggest it helps re-grow hair in 20 to 40 percent of those who use it. But it real benefit lies in its ability to slow hair loss in nine out of ten users. It accomplishes this by enlarging follicles, prolonging the growth phase, and stimulating resting hairs to grow.

What else can I do? There are currently a handful of hair re-growth products specially formulated for male pattern baldness in women which have been proven effective both in blocking harmful hormones and bringing the all important dead hair follicles back to life. These specially formulated treatments can be used both as a preventative tool, starting before hair loss becomes severe, or after loss of hair has become noticeable. Whatever the level of balding or thinning you are experiencing these products could be just what is needed to overcome this latest life challenge.

A hairloss patch can occur for a variety of reasons like illness, a stressful situation or the first signs of general loss of hair. In most situations it can be treated effectively with the right blend of natural nutrients.

It is usually temporary if for example you are pregnant or if there is a particular stressful event you are experiencing and when this passes, you hair should regrow naturally. However, if the situation or illness is prolonged, it’s best to use a effective treatment to ensure it doesn’t become more permanent.

If your hairloss patch happened suddenly, you should consult with your doctor to be on the safe side, as this is more unusual.

It can be hard to notice that you are losing hair and it’s estimated that you have to lose 40% of it before it becomes visible, with a natural daily loss of about 100 – 200 hairs being normal.

The best treatments will tackle a hormone called DHT which is responsible for most hair thinning and male and female pattern baldness today as it gradually suffocates the healthy follicles until the hair falls out.

One of the best ingredients in recent times is called Minoxidil, originally used to treat high blood pressure and extremely effective at blocking DHT and helping to grow out your hairs to their full length and giving you more volume.

Natural herb extracts are also important and Saw Palmetto, Nettle Root and Horsetail are the best ones to use as they will also boost your immune system and promote your overall health as well. Essential nutrients like biotin, vitamin B6, zinc and magnesium will also help to build and maintain healthy, strong hair and give you a solid foundation on which to build.

Hair growing cycles can vary, and it may take some time to notice new growth, up to six months with even the best treatments, so it’s a good idea to be patient and not give up too soon.

The vast majority of hairloss patch treatments are ineffective and full of chemicals but if you seek out these ingredients then you should start to see new growth gradually and naturally.

Visit my website today to learn more about a cure for hair loss with these natural substances that is excellent for promoting new hair growth and optimum health.

Hair has always been a huge factor with people’s status and self-image, regardless of gender. However, hair loss is inevitable, and in the case of some poor souls can appear earlier than expected due to problems with their genes or some other cause, such as sickness, stress, or an accident.

This is why effective baldness treatments are constantly sought after by people. And sadly, a lot of so called thinning hair solutions ended up being not so effective at all, or may have worked but with less than desirable side effects.

However there is good news. One of the few effective baldness treatments that come with no side effects and works as intended uses natural ingredients to help regrow your hair.  It works by inhibiting the production of Dihydrotestostrone or DHT, which is a compound from testosterone that is proven to be the main cause of retardation of hair follicles.

Although DHT used to be hard to control, it cannot be taken out of the equation entirely since it is crucial to the early development of hair follicles.

However if it is left unchecked, DHT can cause the follicles to shrink and the hair to thin until they eventually fall out. This results in fewer healthy strands and is the main cause of Androgenetic Alopecia or Male Pattern Loss.

Not to worry, your options on effective baldness treatments are finding ingredients proven to fight DHT while still allowing new hair growth. One ingredient to look for in a hair loss treatment for men and women is the FDA approved topical medication Minoxidil.

This ingredient effectively helps get rid of male and female pattern baldness by blocking or regulating DHT at the later stages. But unlike other hair loss treatments, it does not remove DHT at the early stages (which has the undesirable effect of blocking further thinning but prevents new hair from growing) — it encourages new hair growth and maintains it when it is fully-grown.

And as a bonus, DHT also has benefits in regards to prostate health, which means this treatment for thinning hair does not increase the risk of prostate cancer.

Besides Minoxidil, other effective natural substances to look for are nutrients like Saw Palmetto and Nettle Root. Both nutrients also have been proven to effectively block DHT and help your overall health by improving your immune system and circulation.

Now that you know the ingredients in effective baldness treatments to successfully regrow hair the way it should…with no harmful side effects or even any effects that are not intended.
