If you’ve started taking medication for it you should start to feel some relief within 24-36 hours of taking a full day’s dosage. If you haven’t seen the doctor you should. Infections like strep if left untreated could get into your blood stream and blood infections can be fatal. Don’t want to scare you but I had strep throat and it got into my blood stream and I ended up in the hospital for a week and at home on an IV for another. Hope this helps.
