24 with hair thinning in front (pics included) — Should I use Rogaine or Propecia?

Question by stephenbisback: 24 with hair thinning in front (pics included) — Should I use Rogaine or Propecia?
I’m 24 with some thinning hair around the front of my head, I don’t have a bald or thinning spot on the crown/top part of my head, that area is thick and alright, no problem, so i dont think its “male pattern baldness” as I only have the thinning in front. I always had very thick hair growing up, my dad is 64 with thick hair, his dad died at 84 with thick hair. My mom, before she died, always said good things about my hair and that her relatives had good hair as well, so i dont know whats going on here.I’m gonna book an appointment with a dermatologist, but I was wondering can I use rogaine or prophecia (sp?)? Cuz I heard rogaine only works if you have thinning/balding on the “top” of your head, where as I only have it on the front, is that true? Here’s a couple of pics of what I have:http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/3721/photo14.jpghttp://img14.imageshack.us/img14/9185/photo15a.jpg

How Can I Hide A Bad Haircut?

Question by Ed Smith: How Can I Hide A Bad Haircut?
I went to the neighborhood barber tonight for a trim. As usual, several other elderly gentlemen were there and we spent most of the time talking. My regular barber, Steve, was out today so I let this young fella, Ralph, give me a trim. I didnt pay a lot of attention as Ralph was butchering up my hair, as I was deep in conversation with the other men in the shop. Now I look like an inside-out poodle who’s been run through the washing machine. When Ralph was finished, I looked in the mirror, screamed, and asked Ralph what the fuck he did to my hair. He said he wanted to give me a more “modern” look. I kicked the barber chair several times and said “I am a 68-year old man with male-pattern baldness.” I could have kicked the shit out of that young man and then shaved him bald. Now I dont know what to do. I put a magazine over my head to get home. I cant wear a ball cap because I work in an office and professional dress is mandatory. I deal with customers every day (I am the VP in charge of sales with Excelsior and Associates, College Park, CT) and I cant face my clientele with this ridiculous haircut. At my age, and with my history of hair loss, do you think any would grow back if I were to shave it all off? And would a lawsuit be advisable in this situation? That young punk has caused me emotional distress and I am planning on asking Steve to fire the retarded idiot. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I dont have a hairpiece and its almost 11:30 PM EST so I dont have the opportunity to GET a hairpiece.
