You can tell from the hair, whether someone is using a good product

Choosing the right hair product makes a difference.

IT SEEMS trivial but choosing the right hair product is one of those difficult decisions we have to make in life. Seriously, which advertisement for hair conditioner should you trust? Which magazine shampoo advertisement should you fall for? After all, they all claim to give you wonderful soft, silky, healthy hair.

Hair products are important – whether to add moisture to dry hair, treat oily hair or control frizzy hair – but only if you find the “right” one.

Unless you want to find out by trial and error what product suits you best (and in the process you may lose some hair), the best way to go about this is to consult your hair stylist – someone who knows your hair probably better than yourself.

Choose your hair products with care

If you use a poor quality hair product or one that is wrong for your scalp, you may have side effects like rashes or itchiness,”

You can tell from the hair, whether someone is using a good product.’

“A good product can do wonders for your hair. You can tell from your hair, whether someone is using a good product or not ”

Examining The Dreaded DHT Hair Follicle

In this article we will delve into the strand like world of hair and the DHT hair follicle which plays a prominent part in the most common type of balding, androgenetic alopecia.

The part of our hair that we nurture, condition, and comb is a byproduct of many contributing factors, and is actually only the hair shaft. The root resides in the layer of the skin called the dermis, which is just below the surface. The root originates in a structure called the follicle. The root of a new hair stimulates the development of a hair bulb, which brings keratin (a protein) to the growing hair. Dead hair cells then combine with the keratin, continually pushing toward the surface of the skin unless something interferes with the process. A damaged DHT hair follicle is one of the factors that can interrupt the natural hair growth and replacement cycle.

But what is DHT? DHT is short for dihydrotestosterone which is a stronger form of the well known androgen hormone testosterone. Testosterone is converted into dihydrotestosterone by the enzyme 5 alpha reductase type 2 deep within the hair cell. It is the accumulation of DHT deep within the hair follicle, over time, that leads to both male and female pattern baldness.

The DHT hair follicle is a mere shell of its once robust self, having shrunk to a point where current growth cannot be nourished and new growth is no longer possible. As the number of damaged follicles grow in number so does the area encompassed by balding or thinning.

Male and female pattern baldness can begin as early as a person’s late teens or early twenties or very late in life. To drive home this point, I recently talked with a women who was eighty years young describing what seemed to be mid stage DHT hair follicle female pattern baldness. Certainly, there could be other factors at work in her case, such as blood pressure medications, lack of nutrition, or dehydration but from what she was describing as a general thinning void of a receding hairline, chances are it is DHT hair follicle damage resulting in female pattern baldness.

The most effective treatment against this type of balding or thinning hair (for both men and women) is minoxidil. Minoxidil works in three ways, by enlarging shrunken DHT hair follicles, prolonging the hairs life span, and stimulating resting hairs to grow.

In summary, a DHT hair follicle is a damaged hair follicle and must be treated and/or reinvigorated in some way to sustain healthy hair growth. Treating the condition before too much balding and thinning has occurred could be the single most important decision you will make as it relates to hair loss.  Early recognition translates into a very high success rate, whereas late recognition translates in to a very low success rate.

What Next? There are currently a handful of hair re-growth products (specially formulated for both men and women) which have been proven effective both in blocking harmful hormones and bringing the all important dead hair follicles back to life. These specially formulated treatments can be used both as a preventative tool, starting before hair loss becomes severe, or after loss of hair has become noticeable. Whatever the level of balding or thinning you are experiencing these products could be just what is needed to overcome this latest life challenge.

How to Stop Hair Loss Naturally

It appears that, like wrinkles and belly fat, baldness is largely inherited. However, the theory that baldness is inherited from the mother’s side may have been debunked.

Newer studies have concluded that male pattern baldness may come from either parent; though the mother’s side may be slightly more influential. What this means to the average male is this: look to your family.

Pay particular attention to your father, grandfathers and uncles. If the grass is thick everywhere, breathe a

fairly confident sigh of relief. If there are more shiny skulls than not, you may be at risk for baldness.

The good news is that hair follicles do not die. Instead, they simply become unproductive. The trick to preventing hair loss is figuring out how to keep those hair follicles from becoming dormant. It may even be possible to re-awaken unproductive hair follicles and re-grow hair.

If family history suggests that hair loss is a likely scenario for you, there are some things that decrease your risk.

Using natural products to help prevent baldness is cheaper than trying to replace lost hair once it’s already gone. Consider the power of these natural ingredients to stave off thinning hair:

* Saw Palmetto: This herb is sometimes used to treat enlargement of the prostate. This is because Saw Palmetto blocks the production of DHT (a metabolite of testosterone), a contributing factor to enlarging of the prostate. Because DHT production also causes hair loss, Saw Palmetto has been shown to be effective for preventing hair loss in some men.

* Nettle root: Those little plants with the big sting are good for something after all. Nettle root is another treatment which blocks the production of chemicals which enlarge the prostrate.

They are the same ones that can cause hair loss. Evidence suggests that nettle root may not only stave off baldness, but may actually regenerate hair growth.

* Vitamins: Your mother told you they were good for you, but you may not know they’re good for your hair too. Vitamin A is an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp.

Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The ‘B’ vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation.

In addition to these ingredients, which help stop hair loss naturally, massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage.

Don’t panic when your next family reunion nets a sea of bald heads. There’s hope for you. Since all of these natural remedies also have other health benefits on the body besides stimulating the scalp, there’s little reason not to try them.

Breast Cancer Awareness Scam

There are studies that show that thyroid disorders are common in patients with this type of cancer as well as conflicting reports of their connection in literature. Breast Cancer Awareness Scam Although it has been linked to hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroiditis, and nontoxic goiter in the past, no existing evidence has been made over the role of thyroid function in breast carcinoma. However, recent studies show that there is much more going on between the cancer of the breast and thyroid function indeed.

A Possible Connection

The differences in dietary iodine have been known to cause the geographical variations in the incidence of breast   and a relationship between cancer of the breast and iodine has been hypothesized by several authors. The probable interconnection between the thyroid gland and breast tissue are based on the ability of the mammary and thyroid gland to concentrate iodine by a membrane transport mechanism. It has also been hypothesized that thyroid antibodies exert an effect on the breast as well as the thyroid, hence, the incidence of these two occurring together.

Another study observed the high incidence of autoimmune hypothyroidism in cases of patients with cancer of the breasts, as confirmed by antibody positivity in patients and a relationship between the two has been reported. The patients were also found to have higher levels of thyroid antibodies. Using specific assays for thyroid peroxidase and thyroglobulin antibodies, patients were observed to have higher levels of thyroid peroxidase antibodies.

It has also been hypothesized that thyroid function may have a hand in the progression of this particular type of cancer. The main observation of this postulation is that patients with higher levels of thyroid peroxidase were most likely to recover from the cancer. Furthermore, it was hypothesized that the immunologic responses of the patient might be directed at both the breast tumor and the thyroid gland or that both the tumor and thyroid gland express the same properties such that the immune response against the tumor will have an effect on the thyroid gland as well. However, there is no consistency on the significance of thyroid peroxidase activity on cancer and a clear agreement between the two has not yet been reached.

There have also been studies of the prevalence of breast carcinoma in patients with chronic thyroiditis. In another study conducted by Ito Maruchi, patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis had an increased risk of developing the particular cancer than other people without Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

Patients were found to have higher levels of thyroid peroxidase antibodies, although their thyroglobulin antibodies were hardly abnormal. Nodular goiter is also a common occurrence in patients with cancer of the breasts. Abnormal thyroid gland characteristics were also observed in the patients.

However, a definite agreement between thyroid disorders and breast cancers is yet to be reached. Yet knowing the statistics and the odds, it would be well for patients with thyroid disorders to be more observant of breast changes. Self breast examinations or SBE and regular checkups are still commendable for women aged 40 and above and even younger for women with a history of cancer, especially of the breast, up in the family tree.

SHOULD WOMEN UNDERGO SURGEY FOR HAIR LOSS?

There are just as many female hair loss treatments as there are causes for the hair loss.

Compared to men, it’s rare for a woman to lose her hair but it’s not something that you should panic over.  Because just like men, there are ways around hair loss and it doesn’t have to be a hair transplant which can be very expensive.

The first thing you should do is consider why you are losing your hair.  Are you pregnant, on a heavy diet or do you have an eating disorder?  Hair loss doesn’t have to be hereditary you know.  If the body is being subjected to unfair treatment such as an eating disorder then it can put up defences and shut down some operations that it deems as unnecessary and one of those functions can be hair growth.

With men, the majority of the time hair loss will be down to male pattern baldness which is easy to treat.  It can be expensive but the results are good.

Women can also suffer from pattern baldness.  The only problem is, sometimes the hair loss doesn’t occur the same way it does in men.  With men it’s constricted to one general area, often around the crown.  With women the hair thinning occurs over the entire scalp.  If you were to undergo surgery to clear that up, chances are it wouldn’t have the desired effect.  Surgery can be very expensive and the amount of implanted hairs my not be sufficient to cover the area of the scalp required to dim the effect of thinning hair.

There are other treatments to consider and sometimes the best thing you can do is take proper care of your hair and not subject it to chemicals day in and day out which can only make matters worse.

I started losing my hair when I was nineteen years old and this prompted me to research different hair loss treatments. I went on to work for one of the world’s leading hair loss clinics. I used my knowledge to make a website packed with information for your benefit. You can find it here: http://www.myhairsolutions.co.uk

Early Stages Of Hair Loss Treatments

Begin the avoidance of balding in the earliest phase because it could be a serious condition if continues untreated. That is the reason why I have listed these important reminders of preventing balding.

Hydrotherapy- An effective way that may be accomplished in your own home with the aid of use with a hot and cold cloth on head. This tends to allow the hair follicles free up and not obstructed.

Wholesome foods- Hair development are usually well promoted if anyone will eat appropriate kinds of solid foods. Biotin abundant foods are really effective. Natural foods definitely is great as well they are able to provide high nutrients that can prevent balding, such as saw palmetto extract, green tea extract and Ginko. In addition, vegetables, fishes, curds, pulses and milk are often good and can put a stop to balding. The reason being they’re foods that include higher protein that can stabilize the hair development and keep the scalp healthy.

Shampoo- Strong shampoos damages the hair and scalp. Gentle shampoos are perfect suggestions because they will not be destructive to the growth of hair or will induce the hair and reduce hair loss and baldness. Conditioning products can be utilized following shampooing because it moisturizes the hair with natural oils and minerals. Natural Aloe Vera is a good content of a shampoo that can keep the hair fuller, heavy and wholesome. A valuable suggestion is that by no means use shampoo daily when you’ve got a dry hair condition.

Supplements- Minerals and vitamins can be good for the hair and body. If any person is deficient, they will have more tendency of getting bald. Iron, protein and zinc are good for the hair since this keeps the hair developing stronger and defer the need of high cost or expensive treatments and surgeries.

Aromatherapy- this is a good stimulate therapy for the hair and scalp. It cuts down or avoids unnecessary hair loss and stopping balding patchs. This is done by the use of good oils such as roman chamomile, bay, natural jojoba oil, bay, cedar wood, rosemary and lemon. They keep the hair and scalp healthy and give the hair balanced blood circulation. For long term employment of this procedure can give a great outcome.

Smoking, alcohol and the level of caffeine can increase the possibility of hair loss or balding. To prevent this from happening, do away with them and anticipate better, more substantial and wonderful hair.

Early indications of balding are gradual hair falling out after a shampoo, and then when you gently brush or comb your hair you notice hair left in the comb or brush. Also you may notice hair in your towel after you dry your hair. Check for these signs taking place at beginning stages so that you have the chance to take preventative measures as early as possible.
