Hair Loss Transplant: Not the Only Solution to Hair Loss

You might think that hair loss transplant is the only solution to your hair-thinning problem. But this is not the case. There are other natural hair loss treatments available in the market that has also been proven effective. But why should you choose natural treatments as compared to surgery?

For one, other than the fact that surgery is very expensive, this treatment also entails risks and risk factors associated with it. One major risk of having this procedure is the increase risk for excessive bleeding, delayed healing and postoperative infection. And these risks can still be increased with other factors like tobacco usage, obesity, chronic or recurring viral or bacterial infections, malnutrition, anorexia and bulimia.

You also have to be cautious if you have conditions that require you to take antibiotics like prophylaxis, as this is associated with artificial joints or valves. You are also not recommended to undergo this procedure if you are using immunosuppressive drugs as well as chemotherapy and corticosteroids.

Hair loss transplant is also dangerous for people who are using medication that can decrease the ability of the blood to clot like anti-inflammatory drug or if a person has immunosuppressive disease like HIV-AIDS.  People who have problems with alcohol are also not recommended to undergo this procedure.

Thus, if you have one of these problems, you have to inform your surgeon before you undergo the procedure, as they will be able to decide if it is safe for you to undergo surgery with your condition. And it is also important that you inform your doctor of any medications that you are using, may it be herbal or not, and recreational or not.

When you fail to inform your surgeon of these facts, you are at high risk of having a swelling forehead due to the procedure, though the swelling usually disappears on the 6th day. You might even develop some small cysts on your scalp due to the hair growing inward or from placing one graft on top of another. You might even be at risk from bleeding, infection, pitting, and cobble stoning.

Luckily, there are now proven natural hair loss treatments available. These treatments use natural ingredients like herbs, as well as minerals and vitamins. Natural treatments are better as this is relatively inexpensive when compared to undergoing medical procedure. And natural treatments contain vitamins and minerals that also promote overall health at the same time promoting hair growth. Thus, would you still choose hair loss transplant when you have a natural hair loss treatment option?

Propecia – The famous hair loss treatment pill

Male pattern baldness is one of the most common types of hair loss and it affects a large number of men, particularly those in their 50s. Before the arrival of Propecia, famously known as the baldness pill, men had tried all sorts of oils, shampoos and concoctions to stop and reverse their hair loss. Often though, these would never cause any changes to their hair loss. The launch of Propecia gave a new hope to men suffering from male pattern hair loss. The popular baldness pill strikes the root cause of male pattern hair loss and offers the most effective treatment for the condition to date.

Baldness pills – an effective hair loss treatment method

Propecia is one of the most popular baldness pills on the market. The medication is approved by the US FDA as a treatment for male pattern baldness. This condition causes hair to recede at the crown and either side of the head and progresses to partial or complete baldness. The clinically proven baldness pill not only stops further hair loss but also stimulates the growth of new hair. Propecia has been available since 1997 and has helped millions of men treat the problem of male pattern hair loss.

How does Propecia work?

The active ingredient in Propecia is called finasteride. It belongs to a class of medicine called the type II 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. When the male sex hormone called testosterone reacts with the type II 5-alpha reductase it is converted into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). While some amount of DHT is necessary, in some men the level of DHT becomes too high. The excess of DHT causes the hair follicle to shrink so that the growth of new hair is inhibited. Propecia finasteride inhibits the conversion of testosterone into DHT and thereby lowers the level of DHT in your body. This helps to prevent further hair loss and allows hair to re-grow naturally.

A single 1mg Propecia tablet is to be taken everyday continuously for 3–6 months before any benefits can be seen. When the baldness pill is discontinued, any hair gained during the treatment is lost. You need to continue the treatment to sustain the benefits of Propecia.

Efficacy of baldness pills

Propecia is a proven and highly effective treatment for male pattern hair loss. The baldness pill has been extensively studied in a 5-year clinical trial and produced the following results:

  • 90% of participants saw a visible improvement, divided into 48% who saw re-growth of hair and 42% who saw no further hair loss
  • In the first year of the study 86% of men experienced visibly more hair

Online availability

Though the baldness pill Propecia is available only on a prescription basis, it can conveniently be bought online thanks to numerous online Propecia clinics. Reputed online pharmacies, offer you the facility to consult registered doctors through online consultation forms, free of cost. You are asked to fill-in your medical details in the form which is reviewed by the doctor. Biotin Hair Growth – Is It Effective In Growing Hair?

Researching biotin hair growth supplements lead me to a lot of conflicting information, and I wanted to share my findings to help people cut down the time it takes to investigate hair regrowth treatments. I am in a unique situation as my wife and I both suffer from hair loss, so I was doing double duty while looking for answers. I was able to find a solution that worked for both my wife and I that enabled us to grow our hair back sinificantly. Below I will outline the research that led to our success.

Biotin Hair Products Research

Biotin supplementation is a key component in stopping hair loss and stimulating hair growth. Biotin is known as vitamin B7 and is essential in assisting the body to be able to grow hair and helps promote healthy skin and nails also. This is important because dermatitis ahs been linked to hair loss. You can get Biotin naturally in foods like walnuts and eggs, but it is difficult to consume enough of these types of food to be effective. So supplementation is required for people who are experiencing hair loss. This is true for both men and women.

Vitamin B7 shows no major side effects if taken at the recommended dosages. Studies of people who were given large doses of Biotin showed no real side effects either, and is a fairly safe supplement for most people. This supplement has been effective in lowering blood sugar in diabetics and helping in weight loss as well.

After sifting through a mountain of information I came to trus the information above as being accurate. Based on these findings my wife and I began taking 5000 mcg of Biotin daily. Both of us had fairly good results with this supplement. Our hair loss seemed to be slowing and I  began to see some growth on the top of my head. At this point I began researching again to see if there were other ways to get better results.

Minoxidil and Biotin Hair Growth

I discovered that a combination of Minoxidil and biotin would greatly enhance hair growth. Minoxidil is the FDA approved hair regrowth that most of us have heard about in the product Rogaine.

Minoxidil was originally created as a high blood pressure treatment that showed an astonishing side effect of stopping hair loss and in some cases hair regrowth. This launched a multi billion dollar hair loss treatment by the Upjohn corporation in the mid nineties.

Side effects are rare and mild when they occur and usually involve and itchy and sensitive scalp in the areas where applied. Typically men will get a solution of 5% Menoxidil and women 2%.

My wife and I began the Rogaine Program and continued our regimen of Biotin supplementation. Our results were even better this time. We both had stopped our hair loss and began to regrow hair. My wife had less improvement than I did, and we were still dissatisfied with the results. Don’t get me wrong we were glad to have improvement, but after months of treatment we felt we would never get the hair back that we were hoping for.

The Provillus Program Finally Gave Us Tremendous Results

I went back to my research and started looking for other solutions. My breakthrough came not from the computer though, but from my friend Joe Gammand. I was talking to him about our problem and he suggested a program called Provillus which had worked miracles for his wife Anne. I went back to the computer and learned about this system The thing that really caught my attention was that the program included the benefits of Biotin hair growth and other supplements that aided in regrowing hair. It was also apparent that the programs for men and women were very different from each other and had proven great results, especially in women.

Provillus offers a 60 Day Free Trial , so I signed up and we began trying the program. Within the 60 days my hair started to grow much more rapidly than with Rogaine, and my wife was actually showing beter results! We have continued with the program and have both grown back substantial amounts of hair. We look younger now by far and get compliments regularly

What Causes Premature Male Hair Loss?

It’s a common probably men prematurely begin to lose their hair in a variety of ways. Possibly on the crown, around the temples or all over. No matter what type of hair loss your experiencing chances are it’s being caused by the same hormonal sensitivity. This article will explain what causes hair loss in men and how you can attempt to treat it.

They’re Just Sensitive

When we talk about hair loss it’s not the actual hair that is the problem. It’s actually the hair follicle, where the hair grows from, on the scalp. There’s a natural hormone that occurs in the male body known as DHT (dihydrotestosterone). It’s derived from testosterone so all men have some level of DHT in their bodies.

Hair loss happens because of a sensitivity to the hormonal activity that occurs on the scalp when DHT interacts with your hair follicles. DHT attaches itself to your hair follicles which causes them to shrink, eventually to a point where no more hair can grow. The process doesn’t happen over night so you do have a chance to stop and reverse hair loss.

It’s not your Fault

It’s both fortunate and unfortunate that it’s not your fault you have a sensitivity to DHT. The problem is hereditary not due to lifestyle choices. So you can rest easy knowing it’s not the month straight you wore a ball cap in college that is causing you to lose your hair now.

There is some truth to your parents or grand parents losing their hair. If they had a sensitivity to DHT then it’s possible you could too.

You can stop It

The first step to stopping premature hair loss is recognizing that it’s happening. If you notice excess hair on your pillow in the morning or excessive amounts of hair in the drain of your bathtub or sink it’s possible you’re beginning to lose your hair.

The sooner you take action to stop the DHT sensitivity on your scalp the better chances you have of regrowing thicker fuller hair and not going bald prematurely.

Hair Transplant Surgery can Improve your Love Life

Hair loss may seem like a natural consequence of aging. You may even expect it to eventually happen to you after watching a family member go through it. But expecting hair loss and absorbing its effects can be dramatically different things with unexpected results. Just ask Lucas Rivner of Los Angeles, who eventually learned that hair transplant surgery can improve one’s life.

Lucas was in his early thirties when his hair began falling out. Before that, his life had been pretty good. He worked as a software technician with a great job and had his fair share of dates. He’d put off settling down, thinking he’d get to it in another year or two. But then his hair began to fall out. His hair loss happened it in front, along his hairline and before long saw the crown of his hair thinning out, too.  Like so many people who eventually decide to get hair transplant surgery, Lucas first noticed his hair on his pillow in the morning and rinsing down the shower drain.

Lucas would spend an hour each morning in front of the mirror trying to cover the hair loss. He tried shampoos, over-the-counter hair loss products and even tried restyling his hair to hide his hair loss. But nothing really worked.  He went into denial, never believing that the loss of his hair would progress far enough to merit a solution like hair transplant surgery.  Lucas began hiding in his job, spending less and less time out in the world and particularly in the dating scene. His dating fell off to practically nothing and maybe it was his imagination, but he felt like he’d suddenly become invisible to women. They seemed to look right through him and his rapidly thinning hair.

Lucas lost the easy confidence he’d once had around women and the more invisible he felt, the worse became his bumbling efforts to connect with women who would have once found him attractive. He felt older than his years and not like himself at all.  He was on the verge of swearing off dating altogether one day when a female co-worker and friend sat him down for a little pep talk.  “Lucas,” she said, “it’s not your lack of hair that’s interfering with your love life, it’s your lack of confidence. Women like a man with confidence.  It makes them feel safe.”

For a few days, he thought about this. Then he realized she was right. His perception that he’d become invisible was his own.  Somehow, he had to find himself again because it had begun to affect all areas of his life. So, how exactly was he going to get his confidence back? On the Internet, he Googled “hair loss solutions” and found quite a few sites talking about advances in hair transplant surgery. After performing his due diligence he chose hair transplant doctor with a great reputation and made an appointment to go in and talk to him.

His first appointment convinced him that he was heading in the right direction. The hair transplant doctor told him about the high success rates they had achieved with hair transplant surgery and he showed Lucas photos. He explained to Lucas that he was an excellent candidate because he had good donor hair at the back of his head. Plus, she explained, despite the admittedly expensive price of hair transplants, because of his age, he could expect to spend less over his lifetime doing hair transplant surgery than if he went with nonsurgical hair systems that would always require maintenance and updating.  Hair transplants, once done are permanent and becomes your own real growing hair. The hair transplants will not fall out because it’s not hair that’s genetically predisposed to do so.

Lucas went ahead with the hair transplant surgery, financed it with credit and went back to his life. Within six months, his hairline and crown began to regrow. Like a miracle, he began to look, and more importantly, feel like himself again. No one seemed to notice it, or if they did, they assumed he’d lost weight or had begun working out. But the biggest change was how he felt when he approached dating again. He knew now, it wasn’t about how he looked, but how he felt about himself that had held him back. Within a few months, he’d met Carly, the woman he would marry a year later.  Lucas has never looked back on his decision to undergo hair transplant surgery. Hands down, it’s the best money he’s ever spent.

Looking good and feeling good go hand in hand. Hair loss can have a devastating impact on your self-esteem whether you’re a man or a woman. There are dozens of options out there to help you. If you’re not ready for hair transplant surgery, or think you can’t afford it, you owe it to yourself to take the time to go into a hair transplant surgery doctor’s office and ask him if hair transplants will work for you. So, what are you waiting for? Give them a call. Make an appointment. Find yourself again.

Hair Loss and Stress: What’s the Connection?

Hair loss and stress appear to be distinctly unique but they are actually connected. The former can be brought about by excessive and intense occurrence of the latter. This might not be so noticeable by individuals who still have healthy and bouncy hair even if they are constantly bombarded with so much pressure and unfathomable concerns of all sorts.

However this might be extremely noticeable among individuals who easily get tired and along with the tiredness the falling out of their hair strands and eventually patchiness of their scalp.

Although a number of things causes baldness or a thinning hair, individuals who do not have genetic excessive hair fall background might be confused about the real reason why their hair strands are falling too fast. Also for individuals who eat as much food items with iron, folic, B6 and magnesium, it may also come as a surprise that their crowning glory is thinning every minute. Whenever you try to lie down, you will immediately spot a pool of hair that was shed from you head.

So what is the real cause of why those strands are falling off even if you are observing proper hair grooming and are supplementing the growth of your hair by eating the right food sources or consuming supplements? Well you can try venturing on the possibility that you are facing tough times. You are faced with so much pressure that you simply can’t run away.  Often the severity of the pressure or stressor dictates the degree of hair damage or possible baldness.

The condition that is defined by the relation of this two is referred to as telogen effluvium. This condition may last for about 12 months. What is good about this condition is the fact that it can be reversed and the condition of the hair can be restored. It is achieved by eradicating or moving away from the root of the stress. The sooner the cause is suppressed and is prevented from coming back, the better the chances for earlier reversal. Otherwise if the root will still be evident even after a year, then the conditions of the hair might worsen leading to a patchier scalp.

So if you see some strands falling whenever you are facing a tough situation then perhaps you too can attest that hair loss and stress are related. And, in many cases a good natural treatment for hair loss will help restore your hair as well.

Possible Hair Loss Solution: Finding the Right One for You

You might not be thinking or even giving a hair loss solution any particular attention unless otherwise your hair is suddenly thinning dramatically or if you already have a shining scalp. Often, people will not look for solutions if the thing is not affecting them at all. In a similar manner, if your hair strands are still as healthy and strong as you think they are, then it will not be expected of you to look into means of how to prevent them from falling out.

On the contrary, many individuals are having many strands falling off their scalp and are in constant search for means to keep their hair on its roots and maintain its health to avoid easy breakage.

A number of things can cause baldness. The genes are one of the best sources and are one of the least controlled causes. There is however, incidence of hair loss where reasons behind it can be controlled or addressed through recent technological advancements or better yet use of natural herbs mixed in certain proportions to activate growth of hair strands.

If your genes are not the culprit of why you are getting thin hair or worse getting balder, the condition could be brought about by action of DHT, a form of testosterone, which tries to attack root hair follicles, and therefore enhances the looseness of hair strands. Limited level or concentration of certain vitamins and minerals in the body could also trigger hair falling out.

Reduced levels of niacin, folic acid and B6 could also significantly trigger the easy breakage of hair strands. This consequently led to augmented chances of hair falling out. The absence of zinc and magnesium also contribute to potential baldness.

Although the latter causes of thinning head or shining scalp can be addressed by increasing the intake of supplements or food items that are rich in those vitamins and minerals, people suffering from this condition can also take advantage of scientific developments. One of these is the minoxidil, a FDA approved ingredient that shows significant progress in terms of treating baldness.

This ingredient works by reducing the concentration of DHT, the testosterone form that attacks hair follicles. Its action is evident in the bloodstream thereby allowing hair follicles to breath. The vessels are also more relaxed and thus stimulate healthier growth of hair strands.

What hair loss solution will you turn to, to spare you from the discomfort of having a lack of hair?

Hair Loss Home Remedies Are Not as Effective

If you are not keen about pharmaceutical manufactured medication for pattern baldness, then you are in luck as there are also hair loss home remedies that are readily available, however they are not as effective as proven natural products. However, before we learn more about natural treatments, let me try to introduce you to a product that contains natural ingredients that can help make your hair healthy and make your hair problems go away.

The good thing about proven natural products is that it not only helps you improve your hair loss problem, its ingredients can also help you improve your health. This is because this hair loss product contains vitamins, minerals and herbs that help with hair growth and improve your overall health. And more importantly, it so simple to use as you just take one capsule every night and every morning to help promote healthy hair and help nourish your hair follicles.

Some ingredients that you should look for include vitamin B6, biotin, magnesium, horsetail silica, para-amino benzoic acid, etc. And they have different products for men and women as they recognize that men and women have different needs for their hair and health problems. So now, what are hair loss home remedies?

Rosemary and sage are natural treatment for baldness. This is in fact has been used for years in the Mediterranean region to help with their hair loss problems, especially alopecia. This is because these herbs have the ability to stimulate hair growth and are good for the scalp though this can also have a slight lightening effect on the hair.

Rosemary and sage are also astringents that can have a constricting effect on the tissues, as well as natural skin toner for their antiseptic properties. Because of these properties, rosemary and sage help cleanse pores, stimulates hair follicles and conditions the scalp.

These herbs are quite easy to use as you just have to boil together both stems and leaves of rosemary and sage in equal parts. And if you have nettle available, then you can also add this to the formula. All you have to do is strain the liquid then add to castile soap making a shampoo. But make sure that you just use a minimal amount of castile soap just to create a solution that lathers. This is because too much of Castile soap can dry out the scalp. You can use this formula once or twice a week. There are also hair loss home remedies like amla oil, lettuce and spinach juice, coconut oil, green coriander juice, mustard oil, coconut milk, lime seeds and black pepper, etc.

These hair loss home remedies may work, but they are not as effective as proven natural products manufactured using the latest advancements in science and technology.

Honest Answers About Male Baldness

Having experienced male baldness and having been successful at holding it at bay for an extended period of time now I can sympathize with any man who is concerned about keeping his remaining hair. At least for me the onset of male baldness was a shock followed by a series of unsuccessful attempts to halt its progression. But ultimately I found the answers I was looking for through a combination of experimentation and knowledge. In this article titled “Honest Answers About Male Baldness” we will explore male baldness and then provide a few solutions that just might prove helpful in slowing and possibly reversing this common condition.

Chances are very good that the cause of your male baldness is androgenetic alopecia or male pattern baldness. Androgenetic alopecia has a very predictable and distinctive pattern with hair loss beginning at the forehead or around the temples with balding concentrated on the top of the head. This condition always includes a receding hair line. Some men only lose some hair on top with a bald spot becoming noticeable around the crown. Others, especially men whose male pattern baldness started early in life and has been allowed to continue unchecked will lose all the hair on top while retaining hair on the sides and back of the scalp. The advanced stages form a well defined M pattern.

The cause of this type of male baldness is a combination of heredity (from either side of the family) and the androgen hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Over time DHT builds up in the follicle complex causing follicles to shrink. As follicles shrink blood flow is reduced thus limiting the nutrients available to nourish hair growth and re-growth. The most disturbing part is that this condition is progressive and unless action is taken severe hair loss is inevitable.

To prevent the male baldness from progressing any further two things must happen; DHT levels must be reduced and damaged follicles must reinvigorated. There are currently only two FDA approved pharmaceutical products formulated to interrupt the conversion of testosterone to DHT; minoxidil and finasteride. Minoxidil is available without a prescription and is considered to pretty much side effect free while finasteride is available by prescription only and does have a number of label warnings.

There are also a couple of herbal options; saw palmetto (FDA approved) and nettle root. Both herbs work in a similar fashion to that of finasteride and are considered to be herbal DHT inhibitors. They are generally considered to be side effects free but do seem to pose a problem if taken in conjunction with blood thinning medications.

What  Else? There are currently a handful of hair re-growth products (specially formulated for male baldness) which have been proven effective both in blocking harmful hormones and bringing the all important dead hair follicles back to life. These specially formulated products can be used both as a preventative tool, starting before male baldness becomes severe, or after loss of hair has become noticeable. Whatever the level of balding or thinning you are experiencing these products could be just what is needed to overcome this latest life challenge.
